The four-island Papua New Guinea expedition has wrapped up.
SM6CVX says they were only able to put up a 160M antenna one night, "simply because we had to interfere too much on the life for the local people.
There was just not space enough." That one night on 160, Hans says, they did get a few Europeans including Germany, Czech Republic, and Russia - Japan, W6 and W7, VE6, VE7 and KL7, about 250 QSOs.
In total they made 10,500 QSOs from OC-285, 8,500 QSOs from OC-283, 5,000 QSOs from OC-256 and 100 QSOs from OC-240. Says Hans, "Not bad for an IOTA expedition. We had BIG problems with two of our verticals and that reduced the QSOs for sure, by some thousands."
