Dxpedition to two new IOTAs, OC-283p Nukumanu and OC-283p Takuu.
Luis CT1AGF, Derek G3KHZ, Steve G4EDG and Hans SM6CVX together with two non-ham friends will make the journey by chartered boat from Buka Island.
We leave Buka on 22 Sept and initially sail to Nukumanu. We should be QRV as P29VCX from OC-284p for about 6 days beginning 24 Sept. The plan is then to sail to Takuu OC-283p and operate using the call sign P29NI from there for 6 days from about 1 Oct. Finally if time permits we will sail to Kilinalau Island OC-256 and operate from there for a few days before returning to Buka; call sign TBD.
The dates may vary a little depending on the local weather.
We plan to run 4 stations simultaneously from 2 sites on each island. This should allow simultaneous operation from two stations on the same band using different modes.
Two stations will use 500W linears and two stations will use 100W.

We are grateful for the support given by the ham community. The cost is higher than expected because the original boat developed critical engine problems and the organisation cancelled the trip.

Dxpedition para duas novas IOTAs, OC-283p Nukumanu and OC-283p Takuu.
Luis CT1AGF, Derek G3KHZ, Steve G4EDG e Hans SM6CVX juntamente com dois amigos que não são rádio amadores vão fazer a viajem num barco fretado desde a ilha de Buka.
Partimos de Buka no dia 22 de Setembro e inicialmente navegamos até Nukumanu. Devemos ficar QRV como P29VCX desde OC-284p e durante cerca de 6 dias começando a 24 Sept. O plano é então para navegar até Takuu OC-283p e operar com o indicativo de P29NI durante outros 6 dias desde 1 de Outubro mais ou menos. Finalmente, dependendo do tempo disponível ir até à Ilha Kilinalau OC-256 e operar de lá durante alguns dias antes do nosso regresso a Buka; indicativo TBD.
Estas datas podem variar um pouco dependendo das condições metereológicas locais.
Planeamos operar 4 estações simultaneamente de dois locais diferentes em cada ilha. Assim podemos operar duas estações em simultâneo na mesma banda em modos diferentes.
Duas estações usarão lineares de 500W e as outras duas 100W.

Estamos muito gratos pelo apoio dado pela comunidade de radioamadores. O custo da expedição é mais alto que o previsto porque o barco que originalmente nos iria levar teve uma avaria grave no motor auxiliar e a organização cancelou a viajem.
